What kind of job opportunities would I have in Poland?

Agata asked:

Although I’ve spent most of my life living in Canada, I would really like to consider moving back to Poland to be with my family once I graduate university. However, I am uncertain of what kind of job opportunities might be available to me.

I am currently going in the direction of a combined history/political science major, so I suppose a job in the business sector would not be an option.

I would consider switching to a combined history/English major and getting an ESL certificate if these were to open more doors for me, but am still unsure about teaching salaries.

I speak Polish and English fluently, and am a citizen of both countries.

Do I have any other options? Would I be able to find a stable job with a DECENT salary?

Any advice that is relevant to my question would be helpful and greatly appreciated.

People who study English, don’t want to become teachers, so there’s a lack of English teachers. But this is , of course, connected with the salary.
Poland needs engineers, so if you have good English try to 1. give private English lessons, eg. at a private school, or 2. become a translator (if you do both, the better for you).
About teaching salaries, there were some strikes recently, but it is still TOO LITTLE for the prize the teachers pay ( I mean all afford they put into their job).
Have you considered teaching in english-spoken school (don’t know if it is called like this) … hmm I mean the school where all the lessons are in English. You could teach history or lessons about politics then…
It really depends on where is your family from. Big city = big opportunities…
