Why is the whole world looking to US to fix the current crises between Israel and Lebanon?

Just few months ago, according to the media, the general opinion of other countries about the US is that we are sticking our nose into other countries business and dictate too much. If that is true, why are the same critics, today, screaming at the US for not resolving these new Middle East crises? These crises as well as the Iran deal and N. Korea should be resolved by the UN and the EU. So where are they and why are they not the ones to spear head the cease fire? It is a fact that if we do something about it then we are criticized and looked down on for being a super power. If we don’t do anything and mind our own business, then we are criticized again?
